BioScan Stress Reduction Therapy

What is BioScan SRT?

The BioScan Stress Reduction Therapy (SRT) System is a remarkable new procedure that combines the disciplines of acupuncture, Biofeedback and Homeopathy with Laser Light technology. A computerized scan is performed to see what your body is sensitive to and what blockages, or imbalances, may be keeping you from healing. Your practitioner will then use this information to determine which therapies may help restore balance and unlock your body’s self-healing abilities most effectively. The BioScan SRT session ends with a balancing Homeopathic and Cold-Laser therapy treatment to help return your body to a balanced state so that future exposure to prior stressors will no longer cause a stress reaction.

Who performs this therapy?

Many different practitioners use this testing method and supportive therapy. Some of the most notable include Chiropractic Physicians, Osteopathic Physicians, Medical Doctors, Biological Dentists, Physical Therapists, and Personal or Athletic Trainers. Generally, licensed professionals with a specialty in improving performance and function use the BioScan to help improve their patient’s results.

Our BioScan Stress Reduction Therapy is conducted by our Health Research Advocate, Kalen Nielsen, ATC-L. Our Functional Medicine and Chiropractic Physicians also use our patient’s BioScan SRT results regularly to determine the most effective and comprehensive course of treatment for each of our patients.

How does BioScan SRT work?

The BioScan SRT is based on Bio-Electric Medicine principles that state that ALL substances, living or otherwise, possess a unique, measurable energetic signal. The BioScan SRT is FDA-Registered and uses a Galvanic Skin Response system that emits signals representative of various substances. The machine then records the body’s stress response to the signals.

Baseline parameters have been scientifically established for the response to each signal, and any reading that falls outside of these parameters indicates that the representative substance may be creating undue stress and possibly contributing to health issues and symptoms that are currently being experienced.

The BioScan SRT provides the patient and practitioner with a report of findings indicating:

  • The substances and groups identified as probable stressors
  • The level of severity for each stress response

Will the therapy hurt?

BioScan SRT rarely causes discomfort. However, patients may sometimes experience a mild increase in the symptoms being addressed as the body begins fighting imbalances more aggressively. By following your practitioner’s recommendations and communicating about any discomfort you may experience, we can help minimize any unwanted symptoms.

How can it help me?

The BioScan SRT can help you understand and improve your body function on a deeper, energetic level. All throughout your body are Meridian (or energy) Pathways. These are the pathways that energy takes to get to our organs, muscles, and other body systems so that they can function properly. When we experience a negative trigger, those pathways can become blocked. When the pathways are blocked, and your organs and other body systems aren’t getting enough energy, this leads to stressed and strained functionality, which leads to dis-ease.

With the use of this testing and therapy, we are able to remove blockages, or imbalances that are limiting your healing. This helps your body address past dis-ease it was unable to previously, and helps your body become more resilient.

Removing blockages to healing can open many pathways for your health and wellness journey. To sum it up, the BioScan SRT aids you and your practitioner in determining how to balance your body’s response to current stressors in order to restore balance to your body, its functions, and your life!

Who is this therapy designed to help?

BioScan SRT is not recommended for patients who are pregnant, get seizures, have neoplasms (such as cancer), anaphylaxis, or pacemakers or other electrical implant devices.

BioScan Stress Reduction Therapy is designed to help EVERYONE else, because stress affects EVERYONE! It can help people of all ages and with any condition not listed above.

How many visits are needed?

Improvements may be seen after just one visit. A typical patient needs between five and seven visits to balance blockages and imbalances. More complex cases may require additional visits. We recommend patients return every 1 – 3 months for preventative, or maintenance care.

How long do the session take?

Most of the follow-up sessions take approximately 30 minutes.

Some of the follow up exams will require more in-depth exams and treatments and take approximately 45 minutes. You will be informed in advance when these types of visits are needed.
