Why cervical traction?
Cervical traction focuses on restoring optimal posture and alignment of the vertebrae. In conjunction with adjustments, this exercise can improve function and decrease the pain associated with forward head postures.
What can I expect?
The gentle traction mechanism provides forces that positively alter the shape and elasticity of your ligaments, muscles, and discs.
- Reduced abnormal loading on spinal structures and tension on the spinal cord associated with the loss of a healthy curve.
- Reversed deformation to local spinal ligaments, tendons and discs that cause pain.
- Reduced stress on the muscles of the posterior neck that pull your head back, preventing it from falling further forward.
- Minimized risk of further disc degeneration and cervical osteoarthritis.
